HOW IT ALL STARTED…..
They met for the first time in their local church. Tim had just returned from California, and Lucy had been part of the community for a while. They didn’t know each other yet, but there was this instinctive feeling that they had to meet.
As the weeks rolled by, they occasionally spotted each other across the room, each of them sensing something special. Then one Sunday, everything clicked. Tim’s brother was having his baby dedicated at church, and Lucy took the opportunity to ‘coincidentally’ serve their table. “That was the first time we talked, and we just fit.”
The first date was sushi. “We had no idea what to expect, but we got so caught up in talking and laughing that we didn’t even notice when the restaurant staff started closing up. It was like the staff knew this date was important. Not ready to say goodbye, we ended up strolling around the nearby streets, talking for the next 2 hours, just enjoying being together.”
As time passed, they realised how much they had in common—similar interests, values, and a shared sense of humour. Then, with Christmas around the corner, Tim asked Lucy to be his girlfriend by Tower Bridge in London. With the city lights around them, it marked a beautiful new chapter in their story.
“Through it all, we have become best friends in all of life’s adventures. We both love to travel the world, exploring new places together and learning and growing as a couple.
One of those adventures was particularly special. Tim planned a trip to Phuket, filled with mountains, beaches and great sunsets (all the things Lucy’s dreams are made of). In a private villa overlooking the ocean and surrounded by mountains, he proposed. It was intimate and breathtakingly beautiful!
